Trip to DFW

Well this last weekend we got to go to Dallas and Fort Worth to see some fun sights and visit our good friends the Coopers!
The first day we went to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and they did not allow cameras inside so we took a picture by the sign instead. It was a pretty cool place, we saw millions of dollars being printed inside, along with some interesting exhibits and information.

The next day we went to meet with our friends Chris and Rebecca, and we went and saw Cowboy Stadium!

We got to go down onto the field and run around, Maddy loved it! The field was so big and the replay screen massive!

We also got to go into the locker rooms, which was cool too.

Here we are posing by the lockers of Tony Romo and Jason Witten. Cool!? We actually aren't super NFL fans, but it was fun to see.

Madalyn loved sitting on the 50 yard line!

And trying on Tony Romo's jersey!

I think this was after our touchdown run!

Here we are in the end zone.

And answering our post game press conference questions.

After the stadium, we went to the famous Sprinkles cupcake bakery, and we had the most amazing cupcakes ever! They were so good! Coconut, Triple Cinnamon, Red Velvet, and Banana. Best cupcakes ever, besides the ones Caity makes! They were in a super nice part of town so it was fun to see all the fancy houses, shops, and cars as we drove around.

Graduation!

Well I finally graduated from medical school! These 4 years have flown by!
Could not have done it without Caitlin! Thanks Caity for always being an amazing, supportive wife!

I love this pic! And that little girl!

I am a very lucky guy!

So fun to have Paula, Garth, and Katrina down for graduation! Thanks for your help and support through the last 4 years ! Have patience with me during the next 3, they will be a bit more time consuming!

A little romance at the end of the ceremony! Thanks again Caity for your love and support!

Picture with the Spicers, they were in our ward and Cory is going into Radiology. Good luck guys!

More random pics...

Well we just got back from our trip to Utah and returned for graduation, both were fun! Here are a few more pictures of our trip to Utah and a post on graduation will follow!

Here is Mady and Grandma at church, I probably should have been paying attention and not taking this pic! Haha

It was so fun for Maddy to get to hang out with Walter! They mostly grabbed each others eyes, hands, and toys. Yay for cousins that are close in age!

Walter and Maddy playing together, with a little help!

We got to see grandma and grandpa weed quite a bit, it's nice having them so close! Caitlin would like me to point out she does not have any makeup on in this pic. Haha

Who is not paying attention in church again? Bad example for Mady I think. Fun to see Rachel, Sterling, Alee, Paula, and Walter on our trip!

Naps are the best!

Fun trip to the Capitol Building!

Fun anniversary trip to Silver Fork Lodge!
4 years!

Madalyn was really excited for Easter this year! Thanks for babysitting Madalyn while we had a date night Paula and Rachel!

Fun trip!

Caitlin's eyes

So Caitlin has been having problems with her eyes while here, we went to the ophthalmologist and he said it is called amppe for short. Basically Caity has terrible vision in her left eye and has big spots of vision missing. You can see this in the yellow spots of her eyes below

If you look near the dark spot on the left of the first and right of the second picture you will see yellow-y areas around it. This is the pigment change associated with it and apparently in 80-90% of people this resolves in 6 weeks with vision return in 6 months. So, in the meantime, Caity is a little blind!

It is caused by having a random virus like a cold and just having the bad luck of getting this as a complication. Mostly in young females, our doctor says he sees one every 10 years or so.

So, pray for her vision to return!

No we do not give our child diet coke

Isn't this super cute? Don't worry she didn't have any. After all the slobber that ended up on the straw, neither did mom.

Temple trip!

Today we went to the temple with Krystal, Patrick, and Brooke.
We went to the Temple in Jordan. It was good times!

Top of the conference center

We went to the top of the conference center! It was fun, but the lady who was giving the tour was super anxious to get off the roof before it rained, which did not happen for another hour.

The view was very pretty! So is my wife and my little girl, who is somewhere in that stroller.

The tour lady's finger got in the way

Brooke. On the roof.

The rain was coming! So the roof was divided into sections based on Utah's outdoors. This picture below is supposed to be Utah's desert. And the trees above from the mountains. Good times!

Brick slopes 2014

Today I went to Brick Slopes (lego convention) in the Sandy convention center. It was pretty cool, lots of kids there with their parents. Maybe I'll be able to use Maddy as an excuse to be there someday, but today Sterling and I went on our own.

Me with some cool Star Wars Legos
7 foot tall tower of Orthanc
Lego batman
Some of the most expensive and cool Star Wars sets.
Huge helms deep
Back side of helms deep. Apparently beneath the surface you don't need to color coordinate.
Cool castle and village
Bruce Wayne mansion with the bat cave beneath.

5000 piece Millenium Falcon

Back to the future town square

It was fun! The stuff for sale was too expensive, but I got a souvenir book mark that was.... Leftover from the convention in Seattle.

Comic con!

We went to comic con! Unfortunately, we were not brave enough to dress up. Or nerdy enough.
It was packed at the salt lake convention center! We saw some interesting characters, not all of which I recognized.
Chewbaca and someone else
Loki from the avengers
The air bender guy

Below are some of the studio c people, the lie was way to long to get their autographs so we cut to the front an snapped a pic!

Brandon Sanderson, an author and BYU professor, was there. I bought a book and waited for 45 mins to get an autograph.
Me and the Dr Who thing. Too bad I don't like Dr Who.
Caitlin and Hagrid.
Who the heck is this creepy guy?
We saw Patrick Stewart and Billy Dee Williams ( Lando), but it was too expensive to get their autographs.
