Top of the conference center
We went to the top of the conference center! It was fun, but the lady who was giving the tour was super anxious to get off the roof before it rained, which did not happen for another hour.
The view was very pretty! So is my wife and my little girl, who is somewhere in that stroller.
The tour lady's finger got in the way

Brick slopes 2014
Today I went to Brick Slopes (lego convention) in the Sandy convention center. It was pretty cool, lots of kids there with their parents. Maybe I'll be able to use Maddy as an excuse to be there someday, but today Sterling and I went on our own.
Me with some cool Star Wars Legos
7 foot tall tower of Orthanc
Lego batman
Some of the most expensive and cool Star Wars sets.
Huge helms deep
Back side of helms deep. Apparently beneath the surface you don't need to color coordinate.
Cool castle and village
Bruce Wayne mansion with the bat cave beneath.
5000 piece Millenium Falcon
Back to the future town square
It was fun! The stuff for sale was too expensive, but I got a souvenir book mark that was.... Leftover from the convention in Seattle.

Comic con!
We went to comic con! Unfortunately, we were not brave enough to dress up. Or nerdy enough.
It was packed at the salt lake convention center! We saw some interesting characters, not all of which I recognized.
Chewbaca and someone else
Loki from the avengers
The air bender guy
Below are some of the studio c people, the lie was way to long to get their autographs so we cut to the front an snapped a pic!
Brandon Sanderson, an author and BYU professor, was there. I bought a book and waited for 45 mins to get an autograph.
Me and the Dr Who thing. Too bad I don't like Dr Who.
Caitlin and Hagrid.
Who the heck is this creepy guy?
We saw Patrick Stewart and Billy Dee Williams ( Lando), but it was too expensive to get their autographs.
Easter visit with great grandma and great grandpa Weed
We were able to go visit the Weeds for Easter! It was fun to see them and Great Grandpa loved holding Maddy.
Trying to get situated just right
State Capitol building
We went to visit the state Capitol building, it was a lot prettier than the Texas one! Although the Texas one was bigger. Of course.
Our little family
Loved the staircases and the stonework. Beautiful.
View from the front of the Capitol building. Not pictured was the awkward shirtless man doing his how many steps can I jump up workout.
Panoramic view of the inside.
Loved the view of the mountains!
Tulip festival
At the visitors center of the tulip festival at thanksgiving point
Maddy looking cute by tulips. We had to leave the binky in so she would not fuss
Maddy and Walter playing with grass.
