Rachel Fun!

Rachel came to visit and we had so much fun! We went to the Presidential ford museum, picked blueberries in Holland, went to the beach, made blueberry pie and pancakes, got pedicures( Reece didn't do this one), went to the Meijer art and sculpture garden and went on a boat ride onto Lake Michigan. We can't wait for her next visit! The beach was so much fun and our freezer is full of blueberries!

Update on Maddy!

Maddy is crawling and pulling herself up on to her feet! She just wants to do as much as she can. I just wish she was that interested in eating new foods! She even has a mouth full of teeth...seven with an eighth tooth on the way. I think we have a picky eater on our hands, she must take after her aunt Rachel;) Maddy has had a couple play dates with some friends that are all only a couple weeks apart. There are four little girls Maddy's age in the ward...yey! It helps mom make friends too;) here are some pictures of Maddy lately.
Here we are out and about down town

Lake Michigan

We had to take a trip out to see the lake this weekend! The lake looked and felt like you were at the ocean but without the yucky smell. It was very cold water however. Maddy loved to look at and laugh at the waves while we were holding her but was super scared when we tried to set her in the sand next to the waves. Apparently she is afraid of water like her dad:)

Moving!

Well we moved to Grand Rapids Michigan for residency, and have been up here a week now.
We used two of these pods to move up and loved it!

On our way up we stopped in St. Louis to see our friends Josh and Elizabeth, and that was fun to just hang out and see their little girl, who is a bit older than Madalyn.

We also got to see Leslie and Steve and their family in Indiana! So fun!

Look at these cute kids!

We missed Ben, who was at camp when we were there, but otherwise we had a blast!

Maddy got to go swimming for the first time, we went to the YMCA with Leslie and the kids, and Sam kept Maddy company!

On our way up we stopped to see Notre Dame in South Bend as well as the touchdown Jesus mural. The campus was really pretty but pretty small. Still, it was fun to stop through.

We made it up to Michigan after a week of traveling and we love it up here! Here are a few pics of our apartment without any furniture, we will have to update with some pics of our finished apartment soon!

This one is of maddy at Leslie and Steve's but I forgot to put it above.

We are the middle floor

As I go to work, Caity gets to stay home and play in the sun with Maddy!

She is pretty close to crawling! She can scoot a few feet over 20 mins or so, it's more of a fall and then sit up a bit further away.

She loves to chew on moms purse!

Trip to DFW

Well this last weekend we got to go to Dallas and Fort Worth to see some fun sights and visit our good friends the Coopers!
The first day we went to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and they did not allow cameras inside so we took a picture by the sign instead. It was a pretty cool place, we saw millions of dollars being printed inside, along with some interesting exhibits and information.

The next day we went to meet with our friends Chris and Rebecca, and we went and saw Cowboy Stadium!

We got to go down onto the field and run around, Maddy loved it! The field was so big and the replay screen massive!

We also got to go into the locker rooms, which was cool too.

Here we are posing by the lockers of Tony Romo and Jason Witten. Cool!? We actually aren't super NFL fans, but it was fun to see.

Madalyn loved sitting on the 50 yard line!

And trying on Tony Romo's jersey!

I think this was after our touchdown run!

Here we are in the end zone.

And answering our post game press conference questions.

After the stadium, we went to the famous Sprinkles cupcake bakery, and we had the most amazing cupcakes ever! They were so good! Coconut, Triple Cinnamon, Red Velvet, and Banana. Best cupcakes ever, besides the ones Caity makes! They were in a super nice part of town so it was fun to see all the fancy houses, shops, and cars as we drove around.

Graduation!

Well I finally graduated from medical school! These 4 years have flown by!
Could not have done it without Caitlin! Thanks Caity for always being an amazing, supportive wife!

I love this pic! And that little girl!

I am a very lucky guy!

So fun to have Paula, Garth, and Katrina down for graduation! Thanks for your help and support through the last 4 years ! Have patience with me during the next 3, they will be a bit more time consuming!

A little romance at the end of the ceremony! Thanks again Caity for your love and support!

Picture with the Spicers, they were in our ward and Cory is going into Radiology. Good luck guys!
